A round table between the China Economic and Social Council (CESC) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is discussing the social responsibility of enterprises and trade investment between China and the European Union (EU).

Wang Zhongyu, CESC president, and Dimitrios Dimitriadis, EESC president, both spoke at the opening ceremony of the round table on Monday, the third of its kind.

The round table is a mechanism established in accordance with the joint statement of the 9th China-EU summit issued in September2006. The first two were held in Beijing and Brussels in June and November of 2007, respectively.
