US President George W. Bush will meet with leaders of Japan, South Korea and China on the sidelines of the Group of Eight (G8) summit next week in Japan, the White House announced Tuesday.

Bush will meet Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda on July 6, the eve of the summit, and the two will discuss how to move the six-party talks forward, the White House said.

In addition, Bush will meet separately with leaders of South Korea and China on July 9, the last day of the summit, the White House said.

Besides the nuclear issue of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Bush will also discuss Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, Zimbabwe and the Doha round of trade talks with them, the White House said.

This year's G8 summit will be held in Japan from July 7-9.
