Chinese President appoints new ambassadors

Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed four new ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.

Liu Jian was appointed ambassador to Malaysia, replacing Cheng Yonghua.

Gao Deyi was appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho, replacing Qiu Bohua.

Gong Jianwei was appointed ambassador to Georgia, replacing Wang Kaiwen.

Cheng Guoping was appointed ambassador to Kazakhstan, replacing Zhang Xiyun.
