The first China-Central America Trade Cooperation Forum was inaugurated in San Jose on Thursday, attended by a Chinese entrepreneurs delegation and over 200 officials and experts from Central American countries.

Some participants including Yu Ping, vice chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, expressed their hope that the forum would serve as a platform for entrepreneurs from both China and Central American countries to have a better knowledge of investment policies and opportunities.

Many participants from Central American countries said that they expect to attract investment from China, and that their market potentials and locations are attractive to China.

The forum, the first of this kind, is hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
