Chinese youth delegation leaves for India
Adjust font size:

A 100-strong delegation of Chinese youths left Beijing on Monday evening for a 10-day visit to India at the invitation of the Indian government.

The delegation, led by Wang Hongyan, vice president of the All-China Youth Federation, consists of public servants, entrepreneurs, local governmental officials, artists, reporters and university students.

They will visit New Delhi, Mumbai and other Indian cities, seeing universities and enterprises, and talking with Indian youths.

The visit is part of the youth exchange program agreed by the leaders of both countries during Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to India in November 2006, with an aim to cement understanding and friendly exchanges between young people, and carry forward Sino-Indian friendship.
