Chinese FM to visit Europe

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will visit Spain, Slovenia, Italy and the headquarters of the European Union from June 7 to 12, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced on Tuesday.

Yang will attend a China-Europe foreign ministers' meeting in Slovenia, which holds the rotating European Union presidency, and an international conference aimed at raising funds for Afghanistan in France.

During his stay in Spain, Yang will hold talks with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos and meet with Spanish King Juan Carlos I and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, said Qin.
