Press center of ASEM summit opens in Beijing

The press center of the seventh Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit opened in Beijing on Tuesday, offering round-the-clock news services to reporters from home and abroad.

The press center, located at the Beijing International Hotel, runs until October 26. So far over 1,700 correspondents from home and abroad had registered to cover the summit, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The seventh ASEM summit will be held from October 24 to 25 in Beijing, drawing leaders and delegates from 45 Asian and European countries and organizations.

The ASEM summit has been held every two years since 1998.
