China denies helping Indian rebels
Adjust font size:

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said Sunday the media reports that China helped anti-government groups in northeast India were groundless.

The Times of India and Jane's Intelligence Review reported that China had supplied weapons to anti-government groups in India's northeast.

"Such reports were groundless," said Jiang Yu, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman.

"The Chinese government always sticks to the principle of non-interference in other nations' domestic affairs. We won't support any anti-government groups in India," Jiang said.
