S Korea calls for discussion on specifics of nuclear disablement, declaration
Adjust font size:

South Korean top negotiator Chun Yung-woo said on Saturday he hoped the six parties could focus on the specific content of the disablement and declaration of nuclear facilities of North Korea as the Korean Peninsular nuclear talks enters the third day.

The parties agreed that North Korea should complete the declaration and disablement of nuclear facilities by the end of the year, while the key issue is what should be included, Chun told reporters when leaving his hotel in the morning, "hope this could be discussed today."

Chun expected to see progress from Saturday's talks. Each delegation may have its own concern on the content of the joint document, consensus should be reached first on "substantial issues," said Chun.
