Some US planes bombed a check post in Mohmand Tribal agency Tuesday night, leaving 11 Pakistani paramilitary soldiers dead.

Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said the incident in Mohmand Agency was truly regrettable and an inquiry was being held in this serious incident.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi Thursday said the Afghan and U.S.-led coalition forces' air strike in Pakistan's tribal area was unprovoked and senseless.

They also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and close cooperation between Pakistan and NATO in the war against terrorism.

Qureshi stated that Pakistan and NATO shared the objective of enhancing regional and global peace. He appreciated NATO's strong support to Pakistan in the wake of the tragic earthquake in October 2005 when a larger number of NATO personnel contributed to relief efforts in the affected areas.
