Jordan's Interior Minister Eid Al Fayez called in Amman on Monday for a constructive dialogue among Palestinian factions to solve their internal disputes.

Al Fayez made the call during a meeting with his counterpart in the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) cabinet Abdul Razzaq Al Yahiya, Jordan's official Petra news agency reported.

Jordan has highlighted the importance of a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue and the establishment of an independent and viable Palestinian state, Al Fayez said, saying that they top priorities of King Abdullah II.

Al Fayez noted that the Jordanian king did not spare an effort to affirm the need to solve the Palestinian issue during his frequent contacts with the outside world.

While calling for solving internal Palestinian disputes through constructive dialogue for the interest of the people, Al Fayez stressed that Jordan provides aid and support to the Palestinian people.

Al Yahiya, for his part, hailed efforts Jordan has exerted to the Palestinian issue and supports to the Palestinian people.
