1 Chinese killed in Kyrgyzstan plane crash

One Chinese citizen was confirmed to be killed on Sunday in the crash of a Boeing-737 passenger jet near Bishkek, capital of Central Asia's Kyrgyzstan, said the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan on Monday.

The plane belonging to Kyrgyzstan's private company Itek-Air crashed shortly after takeoff from Bishkek's airport, leaving some70 people dead and 20 others injured.
