Thai riot police fire tear gas to disperse protesters

Thai police fired teargas at protesters blocking the Gate 7 of the Government House on the side of Padung Krung Kasem Canal on Friday morning.

The police fired tear gas at about 11:00 a.m. (0400 GMT) to disperse the protesters.

They removed barriers of the protesters too.

A clash occurred between the two sides while police were removing the barriers.

A larger operation to seize back the Government House which was occupied by the protestors since Aug. 26 was expected.
