Suspected US drone kills 10 in Pakistan
Adjust font size:

At least 10 people were killed and several injured when a suspected US drone struck Miranshah area of Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal agency on the Afghan border, local media reported.

The News newspaper said the US drone fired guided missiles at a house of Taliban commander Sirajuddin Haqqani. But there is no immediate information about whether Haqqani is among the dead.

This is the latest cross-border US missile attacks from Afghanistan. US drones have conducted a series of cross-border strikes inside Pakistan recently, blaming Pakistan's inability to curtain Taliban insurgency in the tribal regions.

The Pakistani government has protested the attacks.
