Quotes of China vs Sweden at Olympic women's soccer
Adjust font size:

Following are the quotes of the Chinese head coach and players after Group E match of China vs Sweden at the Olympic women's soccer tournament in Tianjin on Wednesday:

Shang Rihua (China coach): "When we scored I couldn't control myself and was jumping up and down. But the camera didn't see me. I'm not an extrovert so when something happens I usually just sit down and look kind of cool. Football is not a game with many goals, so when there is one, you should be excited."

Li Jie (China captain): "We were pulled back to 1-1, so during the interval the coach gave us a strategy for the second half and we made it."

Victoria Svensson (Sweden captain): "In the first half, after the Chinese goal, we controlled the game, and in the second up to the 75th minute, it was the same. Then we got too nervous."

"We can play better but we must go up one or two steps in defence and offence. It's our own fault that we lost this game."
