S Africa hails China for Olympic opening ceremony

South Africa on Thursday hailed China for the spectacular opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.

Speaking at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) which is held here from Thursday to Friday, South African Foreign Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma expressed her best wishes to all the athletes from SADC member states competing in Beijing.

She hoped that they will represent all SADC countries with dignity and honour and bring some glory to these countries and the region. The splendid opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games on Aug. 8 has been admired worldwide.
