The Official Website of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, Paralympic.beijing2008.cn, was launched on Friday, May 29, on the occasion of the 100-day countdown to the start of the event.

A ceremony was held the same day to celebrate the website's launch. Tang Xiaoquan, Vice-President of the China Disabled Persons' Federation and Executive Vice-President of BOCOG, officials from Beijng and BOCOG, Vice President Chen Luming of Sohu.com Inc., were present at the celebration.

The Beijing Paralympic website is an authoritative and comprehensive information platform that serves to spread Paralympic knowledge, share the Paralympic Spirit and advocate the Beijing Paralympic concept of "Transcendence, Equality and Integration." It will bring attention to the Paralympic Games and to people with a disability while further boosting development of sports for people with a disability.
