Wang Gangyi, who is good at swimming in extremely cold water and has broken 5 Guiness world records, said that he has a dream of making winter swimming an event in the Winter Olympics when he finished the torch relay in Songyuan leg on Tuesday.

"There is no limit in the Olympics, I'd love to challenge those utmost limitations for my whole life," Wang said, "and now I have a new dream -- to train a winter swimming team and apply efforts to make it an event in the Winter Olympics."

As a professor of law in Dalian University of Technology, Wang has high reputation in the sports fields. He had swum in the coldest water such as that of the South Pole, and was labelled "Warrior of the South Pole", "King of Winter Swimming".

"Strong mind is very important to people's success, which helped me win the challenges," Wang told Xinhua.

"Not just world champions but every one who make great efforts could make dreams come true," Wang said.
