Olympic Torch Relay in Yanji Kicks off

The Beijing Olympic torch relay in Yanji in northeast China's Jilin Province, kicked off at 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in Yanbian University.

The first torchbearer was police officer Jin Guangzhen.

The flame is going to be relayed by 188 torchbearers over 7.8 kilometers.

The relay which was previously planed to begin at 8:00 a.m. was delayed because of heavy rain.
