Torch relay in Shenyang concludes

Su Hongzhang, deputy secretary of the CPC Shenyang Committee, reached Qipanshan Ice and Snow World Square in Shenyang, the first stop on the Olympic flame's tour of Liaoning Province, to light the cauldron at 10:16 a.m.

Su was the last of 241 torchbearers in the relay that covered 10.08 kilometers. Other torchbearers included Judo world champion Zhuang Xiaoyan, Olympic Freestyle Ski champion Han Xiaopeng, Olympic Shooting gold medalist Li Yuwei and Race Walking world champion Gao Hongmiao.

The Olympic Torch Relay will continue in Anshan on Friday.
