Adjust font size:

China secured a place in the Football 5-a-Side final after scoring in the final minute of a preliminary game against Spain on Saturday.

China's 1-0 win takes them through to the gold medal match. It has earned a maximum 12 points and will finish the preliminary round in at least second position, thus advancing to the final.

Both teams missed a couple of scoring opportunities until the most exciting moments came in the final minute. With only 35 seconds to go, teenage sensation Zheng Wenfa scored with a tremendous shot into the top left corner and the crowd went crazy.

China will now face Brazil in its last preliminary round match, while Spain will look to guarantee a place in the bronze medal match when it faces the Republic of Korea. Both matches will be played on Monday, September 15.
