Chinese women's table tennis team in class 6-10 defeated Poland in the gold medal competition here on Monday before a women's class 1-3 squad added a second gold at the Beijing Paralympic Games.

Poland's women's class 6-10 team led by Natalia Partyka was the top threat to China in the class. Partyka is the only Paralympic player to have participated in the Olympics last month.

In the individual competitions, Partyka had upset Chinese Fan Lei to claim the women's class 10 crown.

The Chinese changed their tactics against Poland, putting Lei Lina, another class 10 player, in the first game against Partyka. Lei almost surprised the Polish, leading for several times before eventually losing 3-2.

Fan Lei overcame Malgorzata Grzelak to level the score, beating the Polish second singles player in straight sets.

In the doubles clash, Fan and Lei duo took a clear advantage, beating Partyka and Grzelak in 15 minutes.

"I played with my partner only in the European Championships and the World Championships. It's about once a year, so it's really nothing," Partyka said after the match. "Chinese are much better in the doubles. We had no chance."

In the fourth singles, Fan learnt a lesson from her individual final loss to Partyka, downing the Polish star 3-2 to seal China's victory.

"Partyka is really, really strong. She is almost unbeatable. I am really happy to win the match today," Fan said.
