China wins two team golds in Paralympic table tennis

Both Fan and her coach, Guo Xijing, spoke highly of Partyka. 

"Partyka is an excellent player. Her style is more like men's - fast and powerful. We have a lot to learn from her," Guo said in the post-match press conference, who s also the head coach for all standing players on the Chinese team.

In women's class 1-3, Liu Jing and Li Qian, the gold medalists from class 2 and 3 in the individual events, rallied from 1-0 down to beat Italy 3-1.

Liu and Li thus swept all the three gold medals in the competitions they took part in.

Feng Panfeng and Zhao Ping in men's class 3 defeated Britain and won a bronze medal, after losing to the Brazilians in the semifinals.

The French were the gold medalists in the class.

Chinese men's class 9-10 and women's class 4-5 downed their semifinal opponents, France and Jordan, respectively, and will compete against Spain and Germany in their gold medal matches.

In men's class 1-2, Slovakia subdued France 3-0 for the gold, with South Korea picking up the bronze.

The table tennis team events in the Beijing Paralympics are scheduled for Sept. 13-16. The men's competitions include five classes, combining classes 1-2, 4-5, 6-8 and 9-10 along with class 3, while women's events putting together classes 1-3, 4-5 and 6-10.

In the earlier individual events, Team China swept eight golds out of 16.
