NATO tanker attacked in northwest Pakistan

Unknown militants ambushed one NATO tanker in the ourskirts Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province, local officials said on Saturday.

Local officials said the militants ordered the driver and his assistant to get down and set the tanker on fire.

Militants frequently attacked oil tankers and trucks bringing goods from Pakistan's port city of Karachi for forces battling Taliban in Afghanistan. It was reported that around 80 percent of the NATO and United States-led forces supplies are transported through the neighbouring country.
