Heat waves hit New Delhi, capital of India, on April 19, 2010. Heat waves hit New Delhi since April and the high temperature here kept over 40 degrees centigrade for a successive 12 days, with the highest 43.7 degree centigrade on April 18, a record-breaking temperature for 52 years.
