Dark clouds of smoke and fire emerge in the leaking oil area which gushed from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead in this aerial view over the Gulf of Mexico May 20, 2010. Leaking oil has seeped into the precious wetland of the U.S. state of Louisiana, threatening the Gulf ecosystem and the U.S. seafood industry, the state's governor said Wednesday. And British oil company BP said Thursday a tube inserted into an undersea gusher over the weekend was now siphoning 5,000 barrels of oil a day. [Xinhua]
