HK strengthens inspection of food imports from Japan

Legislative Council Panel on Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) was interviewed by the media in Hong Kong, south China, April 8, 2011. Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government's Centre for Food Safety has strengthened the inspection of food products imported from Japan after the Fukushima nuclear power plant incident since March 12. Everyday samples of dairy products, vegetables, fruit, meat and aquatic products are selected for the radiation examination. [Xinhua/Chen Xiaowei]
