Japanese monk makes amends in China

Iwata Ryuzo, a 75- year-old Japanese Buddhist monk, repents in Chongqing on May 3, 2011 for the atrocities committed by Japanese soldiers who invaded China in World War II and prays for the 12,000 victims who died in the bombing of the city, which was then the provisional capital of China. Ryuzo has traveled to many countries to repent for the war crimes. [CFP]
