Major Achievements:

Ye Shuai began gymnastics training in Xiamen Children's Sports School at the age of five. He later became a member of the diving team. In 1997, he learned how to trampoline from Pan Qingyuan. The next year he joined the Fujian Provincial Gymnastics Team, with Chen Qilin as his coach. In 2004, Ye Shuai won championships in two individual events at the Chinese Olympic Trials for the Athens Games, but could not compete because he was too young. That same year, he was selected for the National Trampoline Gymnastics Team. Ye Shuai's gymnastic movements are known for flexibility and difficulty. The rising star in Chinese men's trampoline, he won gold at the 2007 World Championships, making him the first Chinese world champion in history.
