Former Olympic champions China suffered their fourth loss in the women's Grand Prix volleyball final in Tokyo on Sunday.

China fell to Germay 14-25, 25-23, 21-25, 14-25 to receive their fourth defeat in the five-day event.

They clinched the only victory on Saturday, beating hosts Japan 25-20, 25-23, 25-17.

Chinese head coach Cai Bin lashed out at his players' slack performance.

"I think it was our worst game in this tournament," Cai was quoted by Chinese portal Sohu.com.

"I can be tolerant of their technical mistakes but not slackness," he said.

China placed second to last with six points in the six-team standings as leaders Brazil, Russia, the Netherlands and Japan are yet to finish their games.

The team will keep training after the Grand Prix final to prepare for the Asian Championship.

"Problems were exposed in this tournament so we need to find solutions the following week," Cai said.
