World heavy-weight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko is to defend his three belts against challenger Alexander Povetkin on September 11 in Germany's Frankfurt, the boxer said Thursday.

"Povetkin is a strong opponent. It speaks for itself that we both were Olympic champions. It will be an uphill struggle but there is no doubt that I retain my titles," said 34-year-old Klitschko, who has earned IBF (International Boxing Federation), WBO (World Boxing Organization) and IBO (International Boxing Organization) heavy weight champions.

"I already had two fights in Frankfurt with victorious end. Now, I'm glad to fight again, at such an incredible scenery," he said.

Klitschko's record stands at 54 victories in 57 fight, 48 by knockout. He defended his belts against Eddie Chambers by a knockout at the 12th round in March.

The 30-year-old undefeated challenger Alexander Povetkin fighting record stands at 19 victories, 14 by knockout.

"I had to wait a long time to wrest Wladimir his titles. I prepare myself with ten sparring mates in the United States, including former world champions. I will be better than ever for this upcoming battle. It is my turn. I'm the future," said Povetkin.
