Lv Zhiwu of China claimed the men's 50-meter freestyle title at the Guangzhou Asian Games in Guangzhou on Monday.

Lv, 21, winner of the 100m freestyle at Asian championships last year, led throughout the race to touch the wall first in 22.37 seconds, while Japanese Masayuki Kishida took the silver in 22.45.

The bronze went to Rammaru Harada of Japan who clocked 22.84.
