Jeremy Lin's 'Linderella' story

Linsanity is to reign the All-Star Weekend.

Linsanity is to reign the All-Star Weekend.

New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin was added to the player pool for the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend in Orlando on Feb.25.

When the original rosters were released, Lin was not yet included. But as his string of victories began to stack up, the league found a way for Kenny the Jet Smith, Commissioner of this BBVA Rising Stars contest, to add in two wild-card spots. Lin, the second-year point guard of the New York Knicks, became a late addition to the pool, as was Miami Heat rookie guard Norris Cole.

As opposed to the previous format of rookies vs sophomores, this year's game was changed to a pick'em, with the other two TNT star analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal drafting for the two teams.

Lin was the third pick overall, following Blake Griffin and Kyrie Irving.

The game will be broadcasted live in China on the morning of Feb. 26 by China Central Television (CCTV).
