Shanshan Feng of China wraps herself in the flag of China and poses with the championship trophy after winning the Wegmans LPGA Championship at Locust Hill Country Club on June 10, 2012 in Pittsford, New York.

Feng Shanshan won China's first golf major as she closed with a bogey-free five-under par 67 to claim the LPGA Championship on Sunday.

The 22-year-old from Beijing took her first career LPGA triumph by finishing 72 holes at Locust Hill Country Club on six-under 282.

"My goal this year was to win a tournament on the L.P.G.A. Tour, and another goal was to win a major championship," said Feng, who came to the United States at age 17 to go to school and play golf.

Japan's Mika Miyazato, Norway's Suzann Pettersen, American Stacy Lewis and South Korean Ji Eun-Hee shared the second place on 284.
