Britain lifts women's double sculls title

Britain lifted women's double sculls title at the London Olympic rowing regatta on Eton Dorney Lake on Friday.

Reigning world champions Anna Watkins and Katherine Grainger of Britain won the gold medal in 6 minutes and 55.82 seconds, the seond women's rowing gold for Britain. In previous Olympics, Grainger has three Olympic silver medals already.

2012 Munich World Cup silver medalists Kim Crow and Brooke Pratley of Australia took the silver in 6:58.55. Magdalena Fularczyk and Julia Michalska from Poland settled for a bronze medal in 7:07.92.
