Britain lifts lightweight women's double sculls title

Britain lifted the lightweight women's double sculls title at the London Olympic rowing regatta on Eton Dorney Lake on Saturday.

Britain's Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hosking, who were silver medalists in 2012 Belgrade World Cup, clocked a time of 7 minutes and 9.30 seconds.

China's Xu Dongxiang and Huang Wenyi took the silver in 7:11.93. The bronze medal went to 2011 world champions Christina Giazitzidou and Alexandra Tsiavou of Greece in 7:12.09.
