Chinese track icon Liu Xiang has confirmed that he'll run in the 110m Olympic hurdles Round 1 on Tuesday.

Liu Xiang and his coach Sun Haiping arrived in London on Friday, to begin training behind closed doors. Sun says Liu's rib muscle is no longer a problem, but admitted that the hurdler's foot was still troubling him.

Prior to arriving in London, Liu trained in Germany for two weeks, after withdrawing from an earlier athletics race because of back discomfort.

Liu Xiang says he's enjoying the Olympics, is feeling relaxed, and is mentally ready to race.
