Iran ran over Kazakhstan at 85-53 to finish atop Group F and reach the quarter-finals of the 27th Asian Men's Basketball Championship on Wednesday.

Matteo Boniciolli, head coach of Kazakhstan, put his key players Jerri Jonson, Konstantin Dvirnyy and Mikhail Yevstigneyes on the bench, handing playing time to other players.

Iran held their foes to just nine points in the second quarter for a 41-24 advantage. Kazakhstan barely threatened.

Iran finished the second round with a 5-0 record and will play against Jordan in the quarter-finals on Friday, which will be Iran's best chance to revenge their quarter-final loss to Jordan in 2011.
