British sports fans will be able to watch multi-platform coverage of the NBA from this weekend after BT Sport and the world's premier men's professional basketball league reached an agreement for exclusively live television coverage of top games and programming in the UK and Ireland.
BT Sport announced on Thursday that the multi-year agreement will tip off on Sunday, as the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Pacers take on West Coast rivals the LA Clippers.
The new agreement will see up to 200 games throughout the season, appearing across BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN.
The NBA is not currently being shown on British television, according to Reuters.
BT has showed its strength in the sports market in August when it launched three channels after securing a share of English Premier League soccer rights.
