Rockets limit LeBron, hold off Miami

The Houston Rockets held four-time MVP LeBron James in check in its contest with the Miami Heat at Toyota Center Tuesday night, scraping past the latter 106-103.

After a stunning performance Monday night with a career-high 61 points, James only scored 22 points Tuesday while all Houston starters scored in double figures.

Houston never trailed in the game and once enjoyed a lead as much as 15 points. Miami caught up in the fourth quarter and tied it at 91 with seven minutes left. The two teams exchanged runs in the ensuing minutes. James missed a last-second three-pointer and handed the victory to the Rockets.

Pat Beverley and Terrence Jones each contributed 19 points to the Rockets. James Harden had 21 points and 11 assists. Dwight Howard chipped in 22 points and 16 rebounds.

Dwyane Wade had 24 points for the Heat after sitting out Monday night. Michael Beasley scored 24.

With the sixth consecutive home win, Houston has improved to 41-19 on the season. Miami is 43-15.
