Shao Jiayi put Beijing ahead just seconds before half-time with an unstoppable low drive.

Beijing Guo'an moved into first place in Group F of the AFC Champions League with a 2-1 home win over Australia's Central Coast Mariners, while Guizhou Renhe claimed its first point after a 1-1 draw with Ulsan Hyundai.

Veteran striker Shao Jiayi put Beijing ahead just seconds before half-time with an unstoppable low drive, and Nigerian striker Peter Utaka rounded goalkeeper Liam Reddy to make it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.

After draws with Sanfrecce Hiroshima and FC Seoul, the Chinese Super League side secured all three points despite conceding a late penalty from Nick Fitzgerald.

Beijing sit on five points, one point clear at the summit of Sanfrecce and FC Seoul with Central Coast Mariners on three points as the group stage reached the halfway point.

Sanfrecce put itself level on points with the South Korean side, last year's runner-up, with a similar 2-1 home win.

In Ulsan, former champions Ulsan Hyundai saw their 11-game ACL winning streak ended as a 87th minute header from Yang Hao secured Chinese FA Cup winners Guizhou Renhe a last-gasp 1-1 draw.

Brazilian Rafinha coolly converted a penalty just before the hour mark as Ulsan looked to maintain their 100% record in Group H this season.

But with Yang's header earning Guizhou a first point of the campaign, Ulsan now sit just a point clear of Western Sydney Wanderers at the top of the table after the A-League side earlier edged out Japan's Kawasaki Frontale by a single goal.
