Knicks top Warriors, give boost to playoff hopes

The New York Knicks beat the Golden State Warriors 89-84 on Sunday, moving within one win from the eighth place and one playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

J.R. Smith had 21 points for the Knicks. Carmelo Anthony added 19 points and nine rebounds. Amar'e Stoudemire and Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 15 points each.

Stephen Curry had a game-best 32 points for the Warriors. Klay Thompson got 15 points and nine rebounds.
