Three Nepalese athletes missing from Incheon Asiad

Three athletes from Nepal have gone missing from the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, according to the official Asiad Daily on Saturday.

The missing Nepalese athletes are a sepak takrow player who went on missing on Wednesday and two wushu players who were missing from the athletes' village on Thursday.

"Through closed-circuit television footage, we confirmed that he (the sepak takrow player) had disappeared," said Jung Ki Young, the Asian Games organizing committee's director of international relations. "He was going to go back to his country after the match. He, however, disappeared from the venue."

The sepak takrow player has been named as Aman Pode by Nepali news ite Ekantipur, which reported the wushu players as Sombir Tamang and Nirajan Ale Magar.

Jung said the committee had been informed of the disappearances by the Nepal chef de mission and that the team was in possession of the athletes' passports.

Jung explained that accreditation to the Games meant the athletes could remain in South Korea legally until October 19.
