Vitesse Arnhem Predict Contracts for Chinese Duo
Adjust font size:

Vitesse Arnhem manager Jan Streuer says Chinese trialists Yu Hai and Xu Qing have every chance of winning contracts with the Dutch club.

His response came amidst concerns that the two youngsters would not meet with Dutch transfer laws which state that players coming from outside the EU must be put on big salaries.

But Streuer told sina.com: "We have been looking at these two players for quite a long time. If they can pass the trial, we would definitely take the negotiations further."

Streuer said Vitesse had been inspired to bring in Chinese talent after a friendly match between the Dutch club and Xu's Wuhan when the Chinese club visited in 2004.

The two teams' home towns, Arnhem and Wuhan, are twinned.
