Starting as the top favorite in Indonesia Open Super Series, world's top shuttler Xie Xingfang of China suffered early exit after a surprise loss to Chinese Taipei's Cheng Shao-Chieh on Thursday.

Xie underperformed in the second round of the tournament and surrendered 21-18, 21-16 to the opponent who started the Jakarta tournament from the preliminary qualifying round.

"I felt exhausted after the Singapore Super Series that quite weakened my stamina. I was unable to play hard and fast. But most of all, Cheng played very amazingly this afternoon,"Xie, finalist in Singapore, told Xinhua after the match.
