Knicks forward Randolph suspended for headband toss
Adjust font size:

Knicks forward Zach Randolph was suspended one game without pay for throwing his headband at a referee, the NBA announced Friday.

The incident occurred with 1:47 remaining in the third quarter of the Knicks' 107-97 loss to the Sacramento Kings Wednesday. Referee Tony Brothers had called Randolph for a foul, and Randolph pulled off his headband and threw it at him.

Brothers didn't appear to notice that. It was Mark Wunderlich, another referee, that saw the violation and ejected the forward.

Randolph will serve his suspension Friday night when the Knicks face the San Antonio Spurs at the AT.
