French marksman Franck Dumoulin, gold medalist in the men's 10-meter air pistol at the Sydney Olympics, repeated his glory in the discipline with 683.7 points at the Good Luck Beijing ISSF World Cup in Beijing on Sunday April 13, 2008.

"I hope this scene (winning the final) would repeat in this August at the Olympic Games," he said.

"I didn't win the gold medal in the 2004 Olympic Games. I want to change the situation," he added.

The ambitious shooter once had his performance in shooting described "as strong as the Eiffel Tower".

"But today I feel that my performance was like elevators, with ups and downs," the Frenchman joked.

Gontcharov said he was "a little disappointed" at the eighth shot. "But in the end I made it," he said.

When asked for reason of the miss, the shooter said, "I was too hurried to shoot."
