Ouyang wins women's 63kg in national contest

The 25-year-old former world champion Ouyang Xiaofang clinched women's 63kg gold in Hefei on Wednesday at the national weightlifting championship.

Ouyang snatched 117kg and jerked 135kg, topping with a total of 252kg. The world record of the snatch was 116kg.

"I'm very satisfied with my results tonight," said Ouyang. "I don't mind whether I've broken any record. I just want to compete with myself."

"I've basically recovered from injuries," said Ouyang, who won the gold medal with a total of 246kg (110kg, snatch/136kg, jerk) at the 2006 World Weightlifting Championships.

Li Liying from Hunan followed Ouyang with a total of 243kg (115kg, snatch/128kg, jerk) and Feng Jia from Shanghai got the third place with 235kg.
