China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (CNCPEC) is a national organization established in 1986 in accordance with the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) Charter. Aiming to seek and promote economic cooperation and prosperity within the Pacific region, the organization includes representatives from the Chinese government, business industries, academic entities and other intellectual circles. Its major tasks include organize and coordinate various units and sectors to participate in the activities of PECC, promote multilateral and bilateral exchanges with other PECC members, and research on Pacific economic development and cooperation.
