Yu Shumin joined Hisense in 1996, has officially acted as president since 2000. Under Yu's management, Hisense has entered a period of rapid development. To date, the company has become one of China's largest producers of home appliances and is the only domestic electronics company which is publicly listed in the Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong Stock Exchanges.
In 2010, Hisense posted revenue of 63.74 billion yuan (US$10.03 billion), and company's profits reached 3.03 billion yuan (US$477.28 million). According to the 2011 Top 500 Chinese Companies list, the company is ranked 102nd, up 29 spots from last year.
